The Polar/Tundra Region

Check out this really cool site for kids on the Island of Nunavik where Inuit life is the way of life! You will see how traditional Inuit customs meet modern Inuit practices. Work with the person next to you as you take notes. Once your notes are finished, come on back here and post a comment about one adaptation you identified from Polar Region.

Dear Mrs.Thompson,
The Ptarmigant is white in the winter months and brownish in the summer months so it can hide from its predators.I would think that my grandpa and mom would like to know about it!I think it is so cool!

An Arctic char is yummy to eat. Arctic char can be big or small. They can be fast in the water. They live under the ice. They are not cold in the water. It is an Animal. They live in lakes or the sea. Lots of people cook Arctic char. An Arctic char is very popular in Nunivik.
